Yellow Audio Suite

Yellow Audio Suite. Learn one, know all six.

Six mixing plugins for your Mac, built around one simple idea: you should be able to see what a plugin is doing to your sound.

Gain, EQ, compressor, limiter, gate and delay. Big black faders, bright yellow handles, and live meters and curves where they help. Use them in Logic Pro, GarageBand or any app that hosts Audio Unit plugins, or try them straight away on any audio your Mac is playing.

macOS 14.2 or later

Yellow Gain Stage: IN and OUT level meters, a two-handle band fader set to 140 Hz – 4.20 kHz, and a gain fader.

Yellow Gain Stage: Fuller tracks, peaks intact.

Parallel compression on just the frequency band you pick, blended back in with the dry signal. Quiet details come forward while transients stay natural.

  • Two-handle band fader with editable Hz values
  • Band slopes from 6 to 48 dB/oct
  • One GAIN fader sets how much to blend in
  • IN and OUT meters show the lift
Yellow EQ Stage: a response curve with three numbered band dots, high-pass and low-pass rows with slope selectors, and three band columns of faders.

Yellow EQ Stage: Shape your tone by dragging the curve.

A five-band EQ with a response graph you can grab.

  • Steep high-pass and low-pass filters, 6 to 48 dB/oct
  • Three fully parametric bands, up to ±18 dB
  • Drag a dot to set frequency and gain, two-finger scroll over it to make it wider or narrower
  • Every band also has its own faders for exact settings
Yellow Compressor Stage: a gain-reduction meter, compression curve, five-second signal history, and threshold, ratio, knee, attack, release and makeup faders.

Yellow Compressor Stage: See every dB of compression.

A soft-knee compressor that shows its work.

  • Live gain-reduction meter with a two-second average line
  • Compression curve with live IN and OUT dots
  • The last five seconds of signal, before and after
  • Threshold, ratio, knee, attack, release and makeup
  • One-click auto makeup gain
Yellow Limiter Stage: a gain-reduction meter, limiter curve with ceiling line, signal view, and gain, ceiling, release, knee and lookahead faders.

Yellow Limiter Stage: Louder, without the pumping.

A peak limiter for the end of your chain.

  • Up to 10 ms of lookahead catches peaks before they clip
  • A two-stage release keeps the level steady
  • Exact output ceiling from −6 to 0 dB, with a soft knee
  • Live gain-reduction meter, limiter curve and signal view
  • Reports its lookahead to your host, so tracks stay in sync
Yellow Gate Stage: a gain-reduction meter, gate curve, signal view, and threshold, range, knee, attack, hold and release faders.

Yellow Gate Stage: Cut the noise between hits.

A gate for drums, vocals and guitar amps that closes softly instead of chopping.

  • Threshold, range, knee, attack, hold and release
  • HOLD keeps natural decays intact
  • RANGE goes from a gentle dip to full silence
  • AUTO release adapts to how far the signal drops
  • Live meter, gate curve and signal view
Yellow Delay Stage: time, spread, rate, depth, feedback, tone and mix faders.

Yellow Delay Stage: Thicker vocals without a second take.

Not an echo: a short-delay doubler.

  • Two taps between 1 and 50 ms, panned left and right
  • SPREAD pushes them apart for stereo width
  • RATE and DEPTH add gentle movement, so the double feels played, not copied
  • FEEDBACK, TONE from dark to bright, and MIX

Try them on anything

The Yellow Audio Suite app can run any of the six plugins on the audio your Mac is already playing. Pick a plugin, start system capture and hear it on a song or a podcast, no DAW needed. macOS asks for permission the first time.

The audio is processed on your Mac in real time and never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. Privacy policy

Made for fast mixing

  • Double-click any fader to reset it
  • Every parameter can be automated in your DAW
  • Stereo in, stereo out, at your session’s sample rate
